What we do

Diagramly.ai is an AI-powered diagramming platform. Describe a system, a process, or an idea in plain language, and Diagramly turns it into a professional diagram you can refine through conversation.

The problem we solve: technical diagrams — sequence diagrams, flowcharts, architecture views — are slow to create and even harder to keep up to date. Most tools demand either drag-and-drop busywork or fluency in a diagram syntax. Diagramly removes that barrier so the diagram is never the bottleneck between an idea and clear communication.

We build for software engineers, architects, product managers, analysts, and educators — anyone who needs to explain how a system works.

The product today

Diagramly is live and in active development. The product supports six diagram formats — Mermaid, PlantUML, ZenUML, Markmap, Graphviz, and draw.io — with AI generation and AI-assisted editing, team collaboration, and export and sharing. It is available today with free and paid plans, and ships improvements continuously (see our changelog).

The team

Diagramly is founder-led. It was created by Peng Xiao, creator of ZenUML, the open-source sequence-diagram engine integrated into Mermaid, with a long background in building developer and diagramming tools used by teams worldwide. Engineers Ian Lee and Ray Feng work with the founder across the product — the AI generation pipeline, the diagram editor, and the platform.
